The Roots

The mother of all
martial arts.

Kalaripayattu is older than recorded India. References to it appear in the Dhanurveda. Bodhidharma, who travelled to China and seeded Shaolin, was a Kalari practitioner. Every Asian martial art descended in some form from this Kerala warrior tradition.

Kalariparichayam — literally "introduction to Kalari" — is our way of returning this knowledge to people who don't think of themselves as martial artists. You don't need to be flexible. You don't need to be young. You need to breathe and be willing.
